Circulation problems can result from arteriosclerosis causing blockage of blood vessels. High cholesterol, smoking, diabetes and old age are the main contributing causes. Other diseases such as the auto-immune disorders (SLE, Rheumatoid etc) can also diminish the circulation.
Symptoms arise from poor function of the tissues affected, eg heart disease, poor skin healing with scars and gangrene, dementia etc.
